Frank KatulskiLocal Church Ministry 810-656-0230 frank@h-i-m.org Testimony: I had a normal childhood, was raised in a Catholic home and went to church every Sunday. When I was 11 years old I started smoking and that lead to doing drugs. All through my twenties I continued to abuse drugs and alcohol. At the age of 24 I was stabbed in a bar fight and almost died but even that didn't stop me from using. I was married and divorced by the age of 27. I started riding motorcycles (that is street bikes) at age 24 and hanging out with bikers and doing things that I shouldn't be doing because I just didn't care. I met my wife I am now married to and we lived together until we were married. I still had an abusive nature and was not very nice to her, my daughter or my son. [read more...] |
Tony BrownJail Ministry 248-766-6037 tbrown@h-i-m.org Testimony: The reason I have compassion for the people in jail is I could have been there very easily myself. My grandmother killed herself when I was 17 by drinking 5th whiskey and package sleep pills. So I did not think that I would live to see 25 and had no reason to. [read more...] |

Glenn KrainockRecovery Ministry 248-464-5095 glenn@h-i-m.org Testimony: As a young fella, I set out in life to "make it", to be somebody, to enjoy life to its fullest, never expecting my actions to take me where it did. I woke up at 32 years old in a hospital bed reflecting on the last 16 years of my life. I looked back at the year I spent behind bars in the military, the social drinking and drugging that led to an addiction that forced me into dealing and wondered how my life had gotten so turned around. What is even sadder is that I spent the next 12 years trying to escape the bondage that I was in. All the rehabs, meetings, interventions, anti-depressants and shrinks couldn't help me at all. I even gave up on God, losing all my hope welcoming the thought of dying. For me it was the only way out. [read more...] |
